We've been patiently waiting to confirm Emerald's pregnancy. We've been watching her closely for 30 days, but Emy is Emy. She's still very playful and soaking up every chance she can get with our kiddos, whether it's enjoying the cooler weather that has finally hit Dallas, TX, or giving us puppy eyes as she begs for one more scoop of food. So Friday finally came around, we loaded her up in the car and headed to the vet for her sonogram. I'm not going to lie sonograms always make me nervous. There is always that possibility that the pregnancy did not take. I sat in the parking lot as my stomach turned into knots. I took a deep breath and acknowledged that we did everything by the book, and now it was ultimately up to Mother Nature. We headed inside and watched the screen and there it was, the confirmation I had been holding my breath for. We are here for another busy season around the holidays. Emerald and Dutton will be bringing in their first litter of standard chocolate and chocolate merle Goldendoodles with the dreamiest coats and temperaments that will fill a void that families didn't even realize was missing.
