Our Guardian Home Program is a pretty special opportunity for the right family.
You get to welcome one of our carefully selected Dream A Little Doodle dogs into your home and love them as your own. They’re there for the everyday moments: from morning walks, summer days at the lake, running around with the kids, family adventures, and curling up next to you for movie night.
Our goal is for our dogs to have the best of both worlds: a wonderful family of their own and the opportunity to remain part of our breeding program for a few years.
In return, we’re looking for families who truly love our dogs, believe in what we do, and want to partner with us in raising a happy, well-loved, and well-mannered dog.
What is Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is a family who loves our program, loves our dogs, and wants to be part of what we’re building at Dream A Little Doodle.
As a Guardian Family, you receive one of our carefully selected, breeding-quality dogs at no purchase price. In return, you partner with us throughout their breeding career by continuing the training, care, grooming, and structure that we expect from the dogs who represent our program.
Your dog lives with you and is your family dog, while remaining part of Dream A Little Doodle for breeding. When their breeding career is complete, we cover their spay or neuter and full ownership is transferred to you.
It really is a partnership, one built on trust, communication, and a shared commitment to raising an amazing dog.
How Much Time Will My Dog Be Away?
Probably less than you think.
After your dog turns one, she’ll come back to us for health testing. This is typically a one-day appointment, and she’ll be back home with you that evening.
Our girls also return to us for breeding and can typically go back home the same day.
For whelping, we like our girls to come to us about 5–7 days before their due date so they have time to settle in before delivery. They’ll stay with us while they raise their puppies, usually 6–7 weeks, until the puppies are weaned and mom is ready to head back home.
Guardian Families are always welcome to visit mom and puppies during our litter visit day.
Our girls may have up to four litters before retiring from our program.
What We Look For In A Guardian Family
The best Guardian Families are the ones who genuinely love our dogs and want to be part of what we do.
We’re looking for families who are excited to raise an amazing dog, continue the foundation we’ve started, and help us raise a well-loved, well-mannered dog that reflects the same standards we put into our program.

Live within approximately one hour of ZIP code 75134

Have no other intact dogs in the home

Have excellent communication and stay in regular contact with us

Complete two training courses within the first year

Be committed to continuing training, socialization, grooming, and routine veterinary care

Send us a photo or update at least once a month; we love watching our dogs grow!

Be able to bring your dog back to us when needed for health testing, breeding, and whelping
Our Guardian Program really is a partnership. We’re trusting you with a dog who is incredibly important to our program, and in return, you get the opportunity to raise and love one of our carefully selected dogs as part of your family.

Emerald
Gender: Female
Age: 3 years old
Personality: Emerald is the best of both worlds when it comes to personality. She loves to play and be part of the action, but at heart, she is a total couch potato. Her favorite place is right next to her people, soaking up all the cuddles she can get.
Fable
Age: 10 months old
Personality Peek: Fable is a happy-go-lucky girl with a heart as big as her personality. She has been wonderful with children and has shown an incredibly patient, gentle nature.
Reverie
Age: 4 months
Expected weight: 40-45 pounds
Personality Peak: Revi is our adventurous, confident, and smart puppy. She loves playing ball and being part of whatever is going on. She's very curious, has fun energy, and would thrive with a family that continues training and includes her in everyday life.
